It is three quarters of an hour from either Manchester or Liverpool Airports. It is perfectly located for exploring Chester, which is just a short walk away while being in a good position to explore the pretty villages of Cheshire, North Wales, The Lake District, the Wirral countryside, Liverpool and Manchester. This luxury two year old apartment in Wharton Lock is set on the first floor and enjoys open views of the canal and canal boats passing through Wharton Lock from its windows and private balcony. In a peaceful residential area yet close enough to walk into the centre of Chester. Sat TV, central heating, washer/tumble dryer, dishwasher, blender, George Foreman Grill, wireless broadband internet, DVD, secure parking, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, hob, CD player, games, books and local information. This fantastic apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated and offers a perfect base for exploring Chester. The apartment has a spacious lounge with luxury leather reclining sofa and chairs looking out over the Shropshire Union Canal and coffee tables, flat screen TV with UK and Satellite channels, games,jigsaws, books and information. There is a dining table and four chairs for you to enjoy your meals at or alternatively make a jigsaw or play cards on it. Walk from the lounge through the patio door and onto the private balcony that looks out onto the canal and the Wharton Lock - watch the ducks, moorhens, herons and swans - not forgetting the colourful canalboats that moor up before passing through the lock gates. Leading from the lounge there is a fully equipped kitchen complete with breakfast bar and 4 stools, this contains everything you may need to cater during your stay - that is if you are not tempted out by the wide variety of restaurants, wine bars and tea shops in Chester. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite shower room with double walk in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and double patio doors to a balcony balustrade. There is a separate bathroom with both bath and shower.

Perfect base for :- Exploring the Roman remains in Chester, walk around the Walls and visit the amphitheatre Indulge yourself in the fantastic shops, set along the famous rows of Chester. Visit Cheshire Oaks outlet shopping village The many Golf courses in Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium, Ellesmere Port Boat Museum. The wonderful country pubs and restaurants of Chester and Cheshire Sail down the canal (right outside the apartment) and enjoy an evening meal on the canal boat. Attend the spectacular race meetings just a one mile walk from the apartment ( or a small taxi fare!)

We spent a wonderful week in the very elegant flat. Everything we needed was here all very comfortable and warm (we didn’t even need the heating in October!)
An added bonus was being able to enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the canal.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment, had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Was great being so close to some wonderful restaurants, everything was within walking distance. We especially enjoyed walking along the canal, watching the boats.
