The town of Garrucha is typically Spanish and is based around its fishing port with a fish market taking place nearly every day at 5pm.
The beaches of Garrucha and Vera Playa stretch for miles and are cleaned daily in the summer season, many are monitored by lifeguards.
The championship golf resort, Valle del Este, is only 5 minutes drive and the now famous Desert Springs golf resort is just 15 minutes drive. Marina Golf is only 5 minutes drive and Cortijo Grande is about 20 minutes away.
