LOCAL TOWNS (5 MINS FROM RESORT)
Alhaurin de La Torre
A town typical of Málaga province in Andalucia in Southern Spain, it sits at the entrance to the Guadalhorce valley on the slopes of the Sierra de Mijas, 12 kilometres from Málaga city. The traditional and the modern live comfortably side by side in this town, with its old Moorish-style streets and houses in the Barrio Viejo (old quarter) and the modern stylish villas on the outskirts.
Alhaurin el Grande
Minutes further inland from Sol Andalusi, Alhaurin el Grande is one of the most picturesque villages in the Guadalhorce river valley. The coast is close by, with Fuengirola and Mijas just along a winding road round the mountain, and a new road has been built through to Marbella, to the south west. Rolling hills and wide open spaces give a feeling of space from all around the town.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
There is a lot to see and do. Just a short drive away, you can enjoy a vast range of attractions such as ; Selwo Marina and Dolphin Park, Tivoli World ( and Sea Life ( all in the Benalmadena area, Lobo Wolf Park in Antequerra, not to mention the Treasure Caves at Rincon de la Victoria. Sol Andalusi reception staff are always on hand to help you with directions and car rental for the day if required.
FAMOUS LOCAL GOLF COURSES (5 - 15 MINS FROM RESORT)
Alhaurin Golf Club - has an 18 hole par 72 course designed by Seve Ballesteros, a 9 hole par 3 course bordering a beautiful lake & an 18 hole junior course.
Lauro Golf - Located 1000 feet above sea level and set in beautiful countryside, Lauro is an interesting golf course with nine lakes and lots of olive trees. Inland from Malaga and Mijas at Alhaurin de la Torre, Lauro golf course is relatively flat parkland-style course with great views over the valley & Malaga Bay.
Guadalhorce Golf Club -
On the Eastern side of Malaga airport, Guadalhorce is worth the trip with a club house that is an 18th century Andalusian mansion which has been restored in grand style. It is a friendly, family orientated club with additional facilities such as pools, tennis & saunas.
Real Club de Campo Malaga (Parador) -
Designed by Tom Simpson (who also designed Turnberry & Muirfield) this is one of the oldest clubs on the Costa having been built in 1925.
Just one kilometre from Malaga airport, this flat, links course has some holes directly on the seaside whilst others are set in avenues of Eucalyptus trees. Wide fairways are also lined with mature pines, olive & palm trees & colour is added with many oleander hibiscus bushes, Host to several PGA tournaments.

We are now safely back home after spending out Holiday in your lovely Apartment , everything was just perfect, we just loved our time there......nothing second best at the Sol Andalusi!!! and of-course we also had the most perfect weather and David was able to swim in the outdoor pool.

Just a short note to express our sincere thanks. We had a really wonderful holiday!
The apartment was just the ticket, we especially liked the views whilst having breakfast in the mornings. The staff at Sol Andalusi were all very pleasant and helpful. We managed to enjoy two evening meals in the restaurant - a real treat for St. Valentines. Lady luck also shone on us for the whole week with only one day with any rain! All in all a great break. Thank you for all your help.

Dear Jennifer,
We had a lovely time at your apartment, and a really enjoyed our stay. We used the gym and tennis courts quite a lot and took advantage of the acqua aerobics classes which we enjoyed thoroughly. The service at Sol Andalusi was faultless, the staff extremely attentive and the activities director very helpful in ensuring we took full advantage of what was on offer. We had friends join us for dinner in the main restaurant one evening which was enjoyed by all and great value at €15 per person. All in all a great trip and far better than we expected.
