The charming medieval mountain -top town of Erice is delightful offering the visitor a truly interesting variety of museums, churches, cathedrals and pretty cafes.
The renowned archeological sites of Mozia, Segesta and Selinunte are all within easy driving distance or can be reached by public transport. Nature lovers and walkers will love the stunning National Park of Lo Zingaro in Scopello 30km away.
One of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in Sicily in San Vito is about 40km away. Many local people from Trapani like to spend a day there.
On Good Friday there is a very important Easter procession called "I Misteri". This is a very important religious festival for the people of Trapani and it lasts all night. |
