Torello is a very picturesque hamlet, where the more humble people of Ravello used to live and where no palaces, statues and gardens are found. Here, people live as they always have. Old women dressed in black carry their baskets of freshly picked fruit and vegetables; men play bocce in a dusty field. The hamlet is absolutely charming in its simplicity and authenticity; the views are sensational: terraced vineyards slope their way into the sea, surrounding old farmhouses; the tingle of bells can be heard from nearby churches.
