Agriturismo “Podere Casa Nova” is the ideal place to pass a wonderful holiday in the Chianti countryside in an ancient property redolent of the history of the area. Our vacation apartments are in the country but within easy reach of the small town of Greve in Chianti, and equidistant between Florence and Siena. The apartments are for 2 or 3 guests, each apartment with a private terrace and access to a very large, shady garden. Footpaths lead directly through the fields and vineyards towards the regional park of Monte S. Michele. Can be reached by pullman bus from Florence. Plenty of private parking. |

The location is ideal for children who can run about freely without danger from traffic. Paths through the back of the farm lead up into the hills, and for the fit and enthusiastic it is possible to walk all the way to the top of Mount San Michele which is located in a national park. Much of the route within the park is sign-posted and the transition in flora with altitude is clearly discernable. Lamole is also within hiking distance and offers some of the most spectacular views in Chianti plus an extremely good restaurant.
The cantina (wine cellar) of the farm dates from the original settlement of the property, and Sig. Ceccatelli will be happy to let you taste (and buy) his chianti wine, vin santo and olive oil, all produced using traditional methods. |
