Portagioia's suite apartments are perfect for 2 - 4 guests. Each has a double bedroom, bathroom (en-suite), a sitting room with very comfortable sofa-bed and a fully equipped kitchen (Cooker, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, toaster etc). One of the apartments has its own private terrace the other a romantic style four poster bed.
Apartments in Tuscany are the perfect way establish a base for touring. Portagioia Apartments are located in The Valle di Chio in the Arezzo region and close to Cortona.
Casa Portagioia is set in an old farm with Olive groves and typical Tuscan countryside of rolling hills and green vegetation. From here you can explore the local countryside on foot or by bikes.
The area: The main town is Castiglion Fiorentino, a medieval town. From here you can visit Cortona and Arezzo which are about 15 minutes away or, well within an hours drive you are able to visit many Tuscan and Umbrian towns such as Florence, Siena, Assisi, the Chianti region, Montepulciano - to name but a few. There is also a train station at Castiglion with trains to Rome and Florence. Most guests visiting Florence from here would take the train which takes an hour to the city centre.
