The Riverview Apartment is located in the Downtown, most popular tourist area of the city. Close to all possible amenities and a first class selection of restaurants, bars, cultural activities, historical sights and the very best of Budapest. Cross the road to the river, where you will have an excellent view of the castle and the famous Chain Bridge.
The 5 sq. meter balcony is complete with table and chairs and therefore suitable for both relaxing and dining.

The apartment area is 33m2, plus a 5m2 balcony, and has been newly decorated, furnished, and equipped to the highest quality including a wall-mounted LCD TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a range of English books and board games. High-speed internet access is provided free of charge in the apartment. Ceiling fans are located in the living and sleeping areas.
The kitchen has a full range of appliances including: 2-ring electric cooking hob, refrigerator, microwave, electric toaster, mini-grill, toasted sandwich maker, electric kettle, filter coffee machine and filter papers and all necessary pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery, plus a supply of coffee, tea, spices, cooking oil and condiments.
Also present in the apartment are electric iron, ironing board, drying rack, hairdryer, radio-alarm clock.
Shampoo, shower gels, soap etc. are also provided.

The Riverview is a cosy studio apartment which includes a living and separate bed area, kitchenette and bathroom with shower and WC.
Out of consideration for our guests, we have designated this apartment "non-smoking". Smoking is permitted however on the balcony.

The Riverview Apartment is located less than 50 meters walk from Vaci utca, Budapest's main shopping street and the famous Gerbeaud coffee house and a great selection of restaurants, cafe's and bars for every taste, including the well known expat hangout, The Stage Pub.
Immediately below the apartment block is a well stocked supermarket, open 7 days a week until 8 pm, with a fine selection of fresh and other food products, wines, beers and spirits. A laundry is located just opposite the apartment.
Public transport is located in the immediate area, including 3 metro stations and several bus and tram routes. Deak ter metro station, which is the main central junction for all of Budapest's metro network is 5-7 minutes leisurely walk from the apartment.

Budapest: Riverview Apartments: "A little gem in Budapest"
The Riverview apartment is run by Martin and Gabbi two lovely people, who went out their way to make our holiday perfect. Martin is British and his wive is Hungarain. The apartment is in Pest and from the balcony you can see the buda hills and the river Danube. The apartment is within walking distance to all transports and shops. The apartment has a kitchen with everything you could wish for and yes that does include a Toaster!... Double bed. Lounge with a Dvd player, Flatscreen tv, and a great selection of dvds and music. Bathroom which has a shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels, soap, Hairdryer, Iron and ironing board are all included in the this wonderful river view apartment. I would like to thank Martin and Gabbi for a wonderful holiday and allowing us to stay at this super apartment.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced and centrally located cosy studio apartment in Budapest (Pest) we have a great tip for you. The Riverview Apartment is just perfect and also has a balcony with a view of the Danube. The location is so central, between the river and Vaci Street, that we could walk everywhere and there were lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby too. The lovely owners Martin and Gabi had thought of everything we could possibly need for a week in Budapest. There was a pint of milk in the fridge for our coffee in the morning, a bottle of wine upon arrival and teas, coffees and everything necessary in case we wanted to prepare meals - and they even gave us a local mobile phone to call them in case of any problems or to receive call and avoid roaming charges. Also, there is an ADSL modem for use free-of-charge. If you are visiting Budapest we highly recommend the Riverview Apartment.

Hello !
I recently travelled to Budapest for a 10 days vacation period. To choose accomodation (an apartment as I don't like hotels and so...) I browsed a few websites containing listings. My finally choice was this Riverside Apartment due to the following factors:
- Location
- Internet available
- Had a good feeling about the owner as soon as we started exchanging eMail
- Price
In the end I was 100% right:
- If I provided with a Budapest map and allowed to choose the perfect location for a short-term staying I wouldn't pick any other
spot. The apartament is in the best location. From there you can easily walk to the main touristical attractions (Citadel, Castel, Parliament, Bridhe of Chains to mention just a few) which you will reach within a few minutes. Then, you have a Metro Station 5 min walking from home. And the most fancy street in town, V�cy Ut is just around the corner. ATM machine is available next to McDonalds, which is 40 m far from the apartment building. One might think that with all these things around perhaps it would be too messy... no way. The apartment block is in a quiet corner, close to Danube. As I said, location is perhaps the key factor to the success of Riverview Apartment.
- The second key-factor are the owners, who obviously love what they are doing instead of seeing the proprerty as a money machine. One of the reasons I rejected some of the other apartments initially selected were the owners; I found it hard communicating in english; then they looked too eager to make business... these owners were the opposte: Martin is english, providing perfect communication, and Gabi is hungarian, which was precious, so she could clarify doubts we had, as tourists, regarding local places and behaviours.
- When I booked I was convinced that this was the best we could have for this money. And no doubt it is!

hi,i posted a message the other day singing the praises of an apartment in budapest, but forgot to add the name.It is the riverview apartment,a wonderful apartment, within sight of the danube,you cannot get anymore central than this flat.We could never get over how close by all the major sights of budapest were,and the apartment itself was so cosy,some days we stayed in and just chilled out on the balconey enjoying the sun.The couple who own this amazing place are martin and gabi a great couple who we could not praise enough,they were always only a phone call away for advice, and we got to know them so well that we have since become firm friends,they ensured we had a great time and do so for any staying in the apartment.It was the most relaxing holiday i have ever had in a capital city,knowing you have such a wonderful base from which to come and go from is everything,we art going back in oct and i suggest you look no further than this apartment if you go to budapest,wonderful !

As Ive just recently stayed at this apartment, I thought Id post a bit about it here. Having travelled many times to Budapest, Ill start out by saying that apartments are generally a much better deal than hotels. You can find some real bargains in great locations that cost much less than a comparable hotel in the same area. Having said that, Ive ended up booking somewhere really awful without having seen it first, which is why Im posting this. Of all the places I have stayed in hotels or otherwise - this one is definitely the best. Its in a great location, literally a few hundred yards from one of the main pedestrian cafes and shopping streets in Budapest, and by the river Danube. Because its just off on a side road, it is very quiet despite the central location, but is near several transport links to other main areas of the city. It has a balcony, from which you get a gorgeous view of the river and some lovely architecture, and the flat itself is a very good sized spacious studio. The bathroom and kitchen are both excellent and well equipped (not always the case in Hungary), and the whole apartment is maintained to a really high standard. It has the sort of feeling like a home from home. The decor is lovely, everything was spotless when I arrived, and the apartment owners are unbelievably nice, even after I had kept them waiting for over an hour after I misunderstood where we were meeting. They provided complimentary wine, mineral water, milk, jam, olives, pasta etc.. Basically, I cannot recommend this place enough. The combination of a beautiful apartment, perfect location, very reasonable price and really lovely owners makes this a real find. |
