Reply to this post Posted on: 2:21 pm, August 22, 2007 Save Save Our family just came back from visiting Budapest and we stayed in District V since it is the most central. We stayed in Apartment Kalvin Korona, (Apartment Museum Boulevard) which is located conveniently across the National Museum and right beside the blue line subway. The apartment has all the amenities you would need to make your trip to Budapest an enjoyable one. It has a main bath with washing machine, The apartment has 2 large bedrooms, the master has a 2 piece ensuite. Each bedroom has 2 single beds that could easily put together to make a double. The TV room is huge and has a pull out couch so technically, you have 3 bedrooms which can accommodate a party of 8 if need be. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the dinning table with chairs can easily entertain 8 guests. The well kept apartment has high ceiling and both my wife and I, we are both short so at first it felt a little bit overwhelming but you get used to it. The apartment is located on the top floor with LIFT ;))). this came in handy especially when you have 2 large luggage and a baby stroller. Speaking of stroller, we brought our 8 months old daughter on the trip with us and the owner actually went out of his way to buy a portable crib/playpen for our little daughter to feel right at home which to us is over the top compared to other places we've been to. One special thing about this apartment is that it has air conditioner, which is so important if you planning to visit Budapest during the hot and humid months like we did. The air condtion was a life saver for us and our little baby. Finally, I want to mention the property management that look after us from the minute we arrived to the last night we spent in Budapest, Martin Collins and his wife, Gabby, who run a small property management that looked after us from every single details. Our fllight arrived late in Budapest, around 10:30 PM local time and still Martin came to the airport and picked us up. Other management would have asked us to find alternative transportation. When we arrived at the apartment, Maryin took his time outline the cautions of visiting Budapest, the dos and don'ts and what to see. He also offered to take our family to the Citadella which can only access by car to have the most breath taking view of Budapest. And when it came to say good bye, Martin offered to have someone to drive us to the airport and assure us that we will meet our 6 AM flight. All and all, our trip to Budapest was a well visit, thanks to a large and convenenient located apartment coupled with a gracious host from Martin and his wife to make our trip the most enjoyable one. I definitely recommend who ever want to visit Budapest to stay at the Kalvin Korona apartment because it the ideal apartment you want to be in when visiting Budapest.
