Superbly equipped and spotlessly clean with all new equipment - true luxury. Great eating places within a few Km and sunsets to bring romance into the heart! All this with two charming owners only too willing to share their knowledge of the area with you. You just can't go wrong here for a relaxed holiday. We travelled by the spectacular route over the Taygetos - an experience in itself - and saw more wonderful scenery down into the Mani. The only difficulty was travelling along the coast route from Kalamata on a weekend afternoon: a tedious journey, another time we'd miss traffic, pedestrians and waiters all over the road and take the inland route! After busy time in Athens, Delphi, Napflio, etc., we were enjoing sea and sun in Kalianeika. The vews from the top of the hill were lovely, seawater was so clean, and cicada-songs - so romantic. And so many things to see round here! And of course, your hospitality... Talking of this place, we still call this place "Our home in Kalianeika". The four of us spent a week there in August 2005, and remembering the view down through the olive groves out over the Gulf of Messinia still brings back an "aaaahhh!" of satisfaction. Good local tavernas, sensational scenery, nearby Kalamata a town with a definite eastern Mediterranean buzz to it - we'll be back.
