| Art Deco luxury, modern convenience, in a classic, vibrant Paris neighborhood. |
|
| Total floor size of 43 m² |
|
 |
Our light-drenched one-bedroom apartment retains its original Art Deco elegance, with oak floors and
Art Deco antiques, but it’s as comfortable as your own home, with all the modern conveniences, including cable television and high-speed internet access (just bring your laptop with wireless card or LAN port).
The cafes and restaurants of Montmartre are bustling with people till the wee hours, but from the apartment you won’t hear any of it—Villa Dancourt is in its own private courtyard, with views of the rooftops of old Paris. Villa Dancourt is a gated complex with two entrances—one a grand stairway lined with potted flowers, the other at street level on Rue Dancourt—and an old-style open-design elevator to whisk you to the fifth floor (6th floor U.S.)
The apartment comfortably sleeps four—there is a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a queen-size sofabed in the living room. (Don't worry, it's not your parents' apartment, so it's not your parents' sofabed—it's super-comfortable!)
The kitchen is completely remodeled with all-new appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave, and it's stocked with pots and pans and cooking staples—perfect for pulling together wine and hors d’oeuvres or cooking a meal. There is a modern bathroom with a washer-dryer, a big, European-size tub with shower, a towel warmer, and endless hot water. There’s central radiator heating in winter and great cross-ventilation plus a ceiling fan for summer.
You will be greeted on your arrival at Villa Dancourt by our wonderful Paris liaison, who speaks English and French and is available to help you should any emergencies arise. You can also arrange to have someone come and clean during your stay, for an additional fee. And there is a garage right downstairs, with hourly, weekly, and monthly rates available. |

Located on the border of the 9th and the 18th arrondissements at the foot of Montmartre, Villa Dancourt is a short stroll to Sacre Coeur, Place du Tertre, Montmartre Cemetary, the Moulin Rouge, and the Brasserie Wepler.
Parisians who aren’t lucky enough to live in the neighborhood come here for cocktails, jazz, and people-watching at Café Sancerre on Rue des Abbesses. They stop by La Flute Gana for some of the best bread in Paris.
They have coffee and hang out at Le Progres. They shop for food at some of the best specialty shops in Paris on Rue Lepic and Rue des Martyrs. They have dinner at one of the neighborhood’s many “in” restaurants. They stand on the steps of Sacré Coeur at midnight and watch the city spread like so many jewels at their feet.
Opéra and the Galeries Lafayette department stores are within walking distance, and you can get everywhere in Paris by an easy métro or bus ride. But even if you never leave Montmartre, you’ll get to know the real Paris. |
