Bienvenue to this peaceful, clean and very bright 45 square meters (485 square feet) newly painted and decorated Parisian studio. As you can see from our pictures, the triple French doors and the floor-to- ceiling window open up to your own private 45 square meter garden, a feature very rare and desirable in downtown Paris. This is a strictly non-smoking environment. Contact us for longer stays.
Located in a very central location near Place de la Bastille and the popular Marais, you will be close to all the attractions, yet isolated from noisy main streets, on a secure residential street that is well lit at night.
The building is more secure than needed for this peaceful neighbourhood. A digicode at the entrance door, followed by a secured door (key entry)and shutters provide you total security. A modern intercom system allows you to control the visitor access. The building also has an elevator.
The kitchenette is fully equipped and the kitchen window looks out onto the private patio and garden. The main room has a very comfortable futon bed, a dining table, four chairs, a large desk, a television (with DVD and CD players), an antique cabinet, bookshelves and your choice of floor or ceiling light. Persian rugs and original paintings complete the peaceful décor. A cot is available for an extra guest.
Near the large entry, there is a separate toilet room (WC) and large bathroom with bath, shower, a closet and a washing machine. The large dressing room (walk-in-closet) will allow you to store away your empty luggage, hang all your clothes and store all of your shopping treasures.
About our neighbourhood: La Bastille has a vibrant nightlife on rue de Lappe that includes many cafés, the new Opera House and lots of affordable ethnic restaurants ( the best Thai restaurant in Paris is just minutes away) and authentic French bistros and brasseries. A list of those restaurants will be left in the apartment. You will also find many types of stores all along rue de la Roquette that sell cheese, wine, fresh bread and pastries, vegetables and fruits as well as pharmacies and banks.
But better still, our neighbourhood is virtually tourist free, allowing you to experience the real Parisian life that most tourists will never see.
Only a fifteen minute walk west from the studio apartment,you will find the Marais where the Place des Vosges, often cited as the most beautiful of Paris, is located. The Marais is bursting with activities specially on Sunday when most others Parisian neighbourhood are empty. This area features beautiful buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries and offers an eclectic mix of boutiques, restaurants and bars
From the Bastille Métro (an eight minute walk from the apartment) you can take line no.1 directly to all major museums and monuments (Notre Dame, Louvre, Concorde, Champs-Elysées, etc). From the Voltaire Métro (a one minute walk from the apartment) you can take line no.9 directly to two of the major Department stores: the Galeries LaFayette and The Printemps as well as the Opera Garnier, the Grand Boulevards, where you will find some of the finest shopping in Paris. |
