The Republique metro station is one of Paris' central hubs, taking you to all points near and far.
You can easily spend many an afternoon strolling alongside the Canal St Martin or sitting in the many sidewalk cafes the area has to offer.
Republique/Bastille/Marais all offer wonderful culinary experiences from the traditional to the exotic and are home to some of Paris' many hot spots.
Much thought has gone into the detailing of the apartment which has a full bath and separate toilet facilities as well as a large built-in closet located in the entrance hall. The layout helps bring both light and a feeling of openness which many Parisian proper 1-bedroom apartments lack.
The bedroom has a double bed and is separated from the living room by wooden sliding door providing you with privacy if you are using both the living room and the bedroom for your stay and also allows the possibility to leave it open to benefit from the open space.
Large floor to ceiling windows in both the living room and kitchen/dining area, bring in a great deal of natural light from all angles. Privacy is ensured with the both large shutters outside and the accordion style blinds inside, giving you the possibility to let in just as much or just as little light as you want.
A vintage style ceiling fan provides great aeration and a wonderful means for beating the summer heat.
The apartment has a balcony out on which you can enjoy a meal or drink.
The Italian leather sofa bed shown at the top of the page, sleeps 2 adults comfortably.
Permanent internet access, a TV with cable offering both local and international channels along with a DVD player make it possible for you to stay connected, informed and relaxed after a long day of sightseeing.
Shop à la française (like the French) and visit the markets of Belleville and Bastille to buy fresh produce, meats, fish and cheese.
The fully equipped kitchen provides you with all that you will need to make a delicious meal with your freshly bought produce from one of Paris' many food markets or grocery stores.

You are but a 5 minute walk from the Republique metro station which connects lines 3, 5, 8, 9 & 11. These lines bring you to many of the Paris sites without even the need to make connections. Line 11 takes you right to the Centre Pompidou, lines 5 and 8 to the Bastille, line 9 to Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower and line 3 to Opera, just to name a few. Using these metro lines you can literally go everywhere in Paris. But you don't even have to take the metro to visit Paris' many sites.
You are minutes from the Paris center and can even make the trip on foot. The Centre Pomidou and the Bastille are but a 10 minute walk , and the Marais or Notre Dame can be reached in 15 minutes.
This area also has a lot to offer in terms of food, from French traditional to Asian and North African. Rue Oberkampf is a great street for restaurants, bars and night-life and just crosses rue de la Folie Mericourt. In terms of food and drink your only limitation here is your appetite. |
