This cosy one-bed apartment is on rue Greneta, just off rue Montorgueil, a bustling market street with several excellent cafes and restaurants.
The apartment is off the street, on the 4th floor of an 18th century building (no lift, sorry). All the windows look out on a leafy courtyard.
It features a bedroom, living room withfully-equipped American bar kitchen, bathroom and a nook for working, complete with high-speed broadband internet access.
The sofa in the living room converts to a double bed.
Rates: 700 euros/week; 125/night (minimum stay: 5 nights).
Christmas/New Year: 800 euros/week; 140/night (minimum stay: 5 nights).

The daily market along the pedestrianized rue Montorgueil is at the heart of this gourmet neighborhood, and Parisians travel from surrounding arrondissements for its range and high quality.
You'll hear the fishmonger belting out the same song about his catch that Parisians heard 100 years ago; pick up a delicious Opéra cake at Stohrer, known as the best patisserie in the city; and seek the expert advice of the fromager about which of his cheeses are just perfect today.
Staying in Rue Greneta means that you can walk to everything of interest in Paris. Several metro stations are close by but if you go underground, you miss so much! Stand outside the apartment building and turn left — keep going and you will get to Place Victoire, the Louvre, and the Palais Royal gardens. On the way to any of them you will see some very fashionable covered passageways, several beautifully dressed Parisian shop windows and art galleries.
Turn right out the door and you will pass beautiful churches, the Pompidou Centre and many small boutiques featuring the designs of new and upcoming designers on your way to the Marais.
Or make up your mind to walk no farther than 50 metres in any direction from the apartment and you will come across a passageway full of shops dedicated to cutting edge design in jewellery and home furnishings, a shop which sells only salt and another which deals exclusively in ginseng. All is on your doorstep. |

| Guestbook: We spent one week in this quaint Paris apartment in May of 2008. The location and surrounding neighborhood was ideal!
We walked to the end of our block to be immersed in a lively market street buzzing with local shoppers. There were several metro stops in our neighborhood and we could walk to the Seine River. The owner was very helpful and made renting a breeze. We would warn those unable to climb stairs there was a small wooden staircase which gets you to this apartment - did not hamper us at all.
