This is a very comfortable, modern, spacious and beautifully furnished apartment in Amelie-les-bains, one of the most renowned spa towns in the south of France.
Accommodation in the apartment consists of a comfortable double bedroom, separate kitchen, open plan lounge - dining area and a spacious bathroom.
The open plan sitting room has two double sofa beds, coffee tables and dining table with seating for 4 with entertainment equipment comprising of a television, DVD and CD player.
Inside the kitchen you will find it is fully equipped with all you would expect from your holiday home, such as oven, microwave, toaster etc. but it is worth mentioning there is also provision of a washing machine.
The large spacious double bedroom leads onto a fantastic balcony which enjoys views over the river and surrounding mountains.
The bathroom has both a bath and shower and there is a separate w.c.

Amelie-les-bains is a renowned spa town of the region and has a population of approx 3500 people. This makes it a lively and exiting place with many shops and restaurants to choose from. It is nestled in the mountains so it also benefits from easy access to the surrounding area for the many activities that the area has to offer. In this thriving market town and has many great shops and restaurants as well as a lively market every morning, where you can buy local produce such as the peaches and cherries that are grown in abundance here, fresh vegetables, wonderful cheeses…. and of course the excellent wine!
Amelie-les-Bains is also a famous area for health treatments at the local spa and is an excellent location for exploring the area, visiting the coast or skiing in the winter..
It is situated nearby the large town of Ceret which Pablo Picasso resided in for a short period, working alongside fellow artist Braque. Some of his work is on display at the Musee de Ceret, along with exhibitions by other well-known artists and this place is well worth a visit.
A few miles away is the lake at St Jean Pla de Cort which is a safe and ideal place for the summer swim. Paddle boats, small adventure park and a lake-side restaurant make this an excellent relaxing family day out.
Weather: We benefit from being in the sunniest region of France, and enjoy warm, sunny weather from March all the way through to October. November and December are cooler but still with sunshine. January, February and March are great skiing months. |
