| The harbour town of Paphos is an enticing blend of the old and the new with luxury resorts butting up against ancient ruins. Paphos serves as the gateway to some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline on the island as well as some of the least developed countryside (such as the untouched Akamas Peninsula to the north). It’s also a great spot for history buffs and the nearby ruined city of Amathus is one of the region’s unmissable cultural treasure troves. The Troodos Mountains form the island’s rugged backbone and provide a perfect antidote to the searing summer sun and crowded coastal strip. In the winter you can ski on the slopes of Mount Olympus and still be back on the beach by dusk for a quick dip. Rustic vistas of resin-scented forests and tiny Orthodox churches tucked away in quiet groves await those prepared to stray from the beaten track. Descending into the dusty plains below will take you to the capital city of Nicosia divided by the Green Line, which serves as one of the island’s more unusual tourist attractions. |

Coast/Beach
15 minutes walk to beach, harbour and shops and restaurants. At entrance to complex is a self service kiosk selling provisions, toiletries, newspapers. Also small cafe offering beverages and light snacks and takeaway meals.
Luna beach 8 minutes drive away offers amusements for children, sunbeds and shades, snack bar and fish restaurant.
Water park is only 5 minutes by car or buses are cheap and frequent.
Golf
There are 3 x 18 hole golf courses within half hours drive of Paphos. Tsada golf course 550 metres above sea level par 72/6,060 metres. Secret Valley golf course par 72/6,120 metres is 18km east of Paphos. Aphrodite Hills golf course par 70/71 6,232 metres lies 17km east of Paphos.
Skiing
Troodos Mountains offer fantastic ski-ing and is only 90 minutes drive from Paphos. Ski in the morning in the mountains and sunbathe on the beach in the afternoons!

Travel
Paphos Airport is only 10 minutes drive. Car-hire is not essential as taxis are only CYP£ 15 from the airport to town and buses are cheap and regular. We can arrange pickup from the airport or car-hire.

Close to Tomb of the Kings, Aphrodites Baths, Coral Bay and Nicosia, Limassol and Troodos mountains all accessible.
