Being only a 25 minute drive from the International Airport, it is located on the west coast of Phuket, and only a two minute walk from the south end of Bangtao beach - arguably Phuket’s finest. Phuket is located on the west side of mainland Thailand, surrounded by the turquoise warm waters of the Andaman Sea. Approximately 45km in length by 19km wide, it is only a short flight from Bangkok. Phuket basks in a tropical climate, with hot summers (March to June) and mild winters (Nov to Feb). The “dry” season is also to be found during the winter months.
During May and September, rain generally falls in the late afternoon, with clear weather the rest of the day, providing stunning sunsets for those wise people that choose to come at this quieter time of year. Daytime temperatures range from around 34°C in the hot season, to a nighttime low of 21°C in the cool season. The water temperature rarely dips below 20°C.
Hiring a car, motorbike or possibly a Tuk Tuk, will provide you with a chance to visit a plethora of places, and things to do. How about visiting a Gibbon Rehabilitation Sanctuary, sightseeing magnificent temples, or going sea canoeing in nearby Phang Nga bay? For those wishing only total relaxation, strolling along one of Phuket’s many unspoilt beaches is an excellent way of unwinding and getting away from it all. If you’re a party animal, Patong is your place, but in general, Phuket exudes a sense of laid back ambience, ideal for recharging your batteries.
