Dahab is one of the most picturesque resorts in South Sinai, with swaying palms, fine sand and wonderful snorkelling opportunities.
This pearl of the gulf actually consists of two villages; the Bedouin village of Asalah which is the southern half and the business and administrative centre to the north. The beach promenade is the core of Dahab's activities.
Dahab was originally a Bedouin fishing village that within the years has developed into a tourist centre with camps, motels, restaurants, and bazaars, where globetrotters from all over the world meet in a lively atmosphere. A large variety of restaurants offer international and local cuisine at reasonable prices.
Due to the strong wind, Dahab is an excellent place for water sports and a perfect location for windsurfing. It is famous for its deceptive deep dive sites such as the Blue Hole, the Canyon and the Lighthouse. |
