Highly recommended travel destination for all ages!

I have been in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia in pre-season in June and it was fantastic. I must admit I did not expect too much and was pleasently surprised. People are frienldy, surroundings are clean, everything is really cheap from my perspective and weather was fantastic. Getting around is really easy - from taxi, busses, trains and touristic tours - everyody is most welcome to accommodate you and help you with every inquiry. Languages spoken in Tunisia are of course arabic and french - every local speaks them (ex french colony) But the staff in hotels are are well touristic educated and speak english and german/spanish. Hammamet is tipical arabic - with Medina - market place wher you can buy almost anything - but you absolutely must bargain with them!! There are some stores with fixed prices if you prefer that way, but barganing is sometimes so much fun!
Trips to Tunis, Cartaga and Sidi Bu Said are a must. Beautiful places only an hour and a half away.
Also safari trip to Sahara - camel riding and jeeps drive through desert. Unique experience.

I stayed in 4 stars hotel - Globalia Savana and had the best time - food is a bit spicy but so tasty; hotel has 2 beautiful and clean pools with bars; gym, internet club, bar, arabic coffee house and many other additional services. Hotel room is clean with bathroom and toilet separate. A/C is in the room but a note to people traveling before June 15 - they do not turn them on until that date. Altough they should - it was in the 30's every day. Nights are pleasant to sleep. No mosquitoes.

Bring light clothes if you travel anytime from May to September. Beaches are nice and sandy but for me swimming in the Medditeran was not appealing.
