Casa Flamengo is an idylic house situated in the Praia do Flamengo district of Salvador. Set in 1300m2 of private land, it has a large garden filled with wonderfully exotic fruit trees, a party size swimming pool, a barbeque area, a caseiro quarters and garage space enough for 3 cars.Turn left out of Casa Flamengo and within 30 seconds you're at a stunningly beautiful lagoon where you can go fishing, take a boat out or simply relax while watching the sun go down. Turn right and you're just a minute away from one of the most popular beaches in Salvador. Known for its warm and calm waters, Praia do Flamengo is favoured by swimmers. Though it is relatively peaceful during the week, it has an incredible party atmosphere on weekends, especially on Sundays when it is full of the locals eating, drinking and dancing the night away. Casa Flamengo is perfectly located to have as your holiday base. It is a short 15 minutes away from Salvador's international airport, 20 minutes from the main shopping areas and only 35 minutes from the historical old town with its fantastic views of All Saints' Bay and easy access to the beautiful island of Itaparica.

Take a right out of the front gate, cross one road and within 1 minute you are on Flamengo Beach. The house is situated in the heart of the beach with numerous barracas (beach huts) serving food and drinks for you to choose from. This is the most popular beaches for swimmers in Salvador, famed for its calm waters. If you're feeling more adventurous you can be at the famous Praia do Forte resort beach within 50mins. Or else experience Barra Beach in the heart of Salvador city, just 35 mins away.

The house comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 1 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use. The house has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the house cool.

There is room for 10-15 in the living room and dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. Also provided is cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils.

The house is in a quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a large garden, a patio, balcony and barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Manoel is the caseiro who lives in separate quarters on the property providing 24hr security. He also attends to the garden and house maintenance.

Astle is our management agent in Salvador. She will be responsible for the prompt delivery of the keys to Casa Flamengo on your arrival and the safe keeping of your security deposit during your stay. On your departure she will carry out an inventory check, collect the keys and return your deposit. Although she is not a tour guide she will be happy to give advice on preferred taxi services, key attractions and the best restaurants that Salvador has to offer.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
