At reasonable rates, similar to a hostel, we offer a more personal choice of lodging in private rooms.

Our house is a charming four-floor rustic eighties construction where bricks and concrete contrast with nature and a wide view of the green and the city center.

The rooms are in a tranquil and private ambient and either have a ceiling fan or an air conditioning and some have a balcony overlooking a green valley, the village houses and the city center. The accommodations may single, double or twin but it may be possible to add an extra bed under request.

We are conveniently close to the center and Lapa, at only 10 minutes from Corcovado, in a place from where you can easily reach the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Sugar Loaf, the Maracan� football stadium and the Samb�dromo where the great carnival parade happens.

Our B & B is also only a walking distance from the local commerce with its shops, restaurants, cafes and a cool bohemian nightlife.

Vila CasaNova is in Santa Teresa, a historical and charming neighborhood high on a hill, with great views to the sea, the bay and the mountains.



Only 200m up the street on foot, is Largo dos Guimar�es, a square from where you can catch a taxi, bus or the famous wooden tram to the most interesting attractions that the city offers.



We are conveniently located 5 minutes from Rio's downtown/business district, where the most important museums, cultural centers, art galleries and historical buildings are, and from Lapa, distinguishable by its arched aqueduct, home to the samba and the bohemia.



The Corcovado with the Christ's statue, is only 10 minutes away by car or you can take the tram halfway there and finish the journey with a 20 minute walk.



From here, you can easily reach in more or less 20 minutes the famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, the Sugar Loaf or the Botanical Garden. The Maracan� football stadium is also close as well as the Samb�dromo where the great carnival parade happens.
