Overview
Apartment located a few steps from famous `La Biela Restaurant`, preferred meeting point for Buenos Aires business and/or pleasure among local porteños.
Other attractions are the Buenos Aires Design Center and Iglesia del Pilar, ancient church from beginning of century.
Another Buenos Aires nice attraction for locals or tourists is the Flea Market opening on Sundays in Plaza Francia, close to this vacation rental apartment.
Avenida Quintana, parallel to Alvear and equally as elegant, leads to the heart of La Recoleta. Quintana is exclusive and conservative and home to distinguished stores and classic Buenos Aires coffee shops. On the corner of Quintana and the pedestrian road Roberto M. Ortiz, a tribute to La Biela, one of the city's most famous coffee shops, must be made. On a sunny day at noon, its outdoor tables are among the most enjoyable places for a stop along the way and to observe the area's typical weekend activity. Across the street, there is one of the 4 imposing Gomeros (Rubber trees) that adorn this public space, planted over 200 years ago by Martin J. Altoaguirre (1742-1813), responsible for introducing hemp, linen and diverse exotic plants, including the Ficus plant.

Location & area
From "La Biela" until Vicente Lopez and from there , until Azcuenaga, the cemetery is surrounded by pubs and restaurants that, together with the movie theaters, bookstores and Village Recoleta's fast food restaurants, make up one of the city's main areas for nightlife. The grassy area across from the cemetery includes some monuments, in addition to the handicrafts stalls that adorn the entire plaza on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. On the small square between Alvear and Quintana, there is the Monumento to Coronel Ramon S. Falcon y a Juan A. Lartigau, honoring the police chief and his secretary who were assassinated by an anarchist with a bomb in November of 1909, an act of revenge for the massacre of the May 1st. workers demonstration.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
