Location & area

Recoleta Named after the Recoleto monks, who live in the area during the XVIII century, its one of the touristy areas by excellence. The area is also known as "Little Paris" due to the French style of its streets and buildings. It has exclusive shops, restaurants, museums, the national library and lots more to offer to those who visit it.

Plaza Francia The park of Recoleta, with its centenary tress is home to shows from street performers. It has a monument that was built in 1910, that recalls heroic moments of the history of both Argentina and France, and on Sundays it hosts the biggest art and craft fair of the city.

Cementery of Recoleta Last home to national heroes, writers, men of science and faith and also to Eva Duarte de Perón -worldwide known as Evita-, it was built in 1822 and is distinguished all over the world.

BASILICA OFTHE PILAR. / Named by the cult of the Recoletos friars, one began to construct at the beginning of century XVIII and founded on 1732. Considered one of the best examples of the colonial architecture, has been declared National Historical Monument.
