Overview

Our apartment is for people who want to experience the true culture of Buenos Aires. A heritage listed building, 2 lovely big bedrooms, an office space that overlooks the chandelier that hangs from the 17 ft ceilings, and french doors that open out onto ceramic and wrought iron balconies overlooking the cobbled street below.

Think it can't get any better? Just take the spiral staircase up to the rooftop where there is a private garden; and a table and chairs perfect for an evening under the stars, looking out over the city lights of Buenos Aires.

Our apartment is fully furnished, with artworks native to Argentina and its cultural influences. There is high speed internet and WIFI, security intercom, telephone for local calls, cable TV, air conditioning, a large fully equipped kitchen, comfy living area and a very cool bathroom complete with bidet. We also have bookcases with all sorts of great reading for those who want to know more about Argentina and well, lots of other stuff too!

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the city Microcentre, or you can take the bus, remis or even walk to the subway. The apartment is located on the corner of Cochabamba and Defensa, just a short stroll from Plaza Dorrego. There are cafes, parillas, art galleries, a tango school and a tango club just a few steps from the entrance of the building.

San Telmo is about 20 minutes walk from the City Microcentre, and the apartment is located on the corner of Cochabamba and Defensa. About 30 steps from the main entrance of the apartment on Defensa, there is a little tango school. They close this section of Defensa every weekend for markets, and the little tango school/art gallery is open.



There is a parilla across the road from the apartment, plus several little art galleries, a butcher, excellent cafe, fruit shop and little supermarket.



Heading into the Microcentre, is Dorrego Plaza - an area frequented by tourists and locals alike. If you want to mix with a few tourists, it is pleasant.



Cochabamba 380 has a lot of soul, it was purchased by a builder who researched the local building techniques and architecture before hiring local workers to renovate it.
