Overview

We live at the "Reef and Rainforrest Coast" in "Tropical North Queensland" 60 km north of Cairns
and 15 km south of Port Douglas. We got 2 Bungalows for rent in a quiet and private
atmosphere. It is a very convenient point to explore the surroundings with their natural wonders
like daytrips into the Daintree Rainforrest, snorkel or dive the Great Barrier Reef, circle the tablelands, have a ride on Kuranda Skyrail, watch crocodiles in the wildes of the Daintree River
and much more. If you come back after a day full of experiences into your accommodation, our swimmingpool area offers relaxation and tranquility. Here you have the opportunity to barbecue
your own meals. Our bungalows also equipped with 2 single beds next to each other, lounge, table,
chairs, TV, microwave, fridge, kettle, dishes and all cutlery. Last but not least we like to say, that we would love to have you as guest and to share our little paradise for a few days or weeks in the year with nature lovers.

When you leave the Cairns Airport, after about 2 km, you come to traffic lights at the Captain. Cook Highway, please turn right towards Mossman, Port Douglas, Mareeba. From now on it is always straight ahead through several Roundabouts until you reach the sea. First glimpse of the ocean and about 22 km further you see on your left hand side "Reynolds Road", go into it and 700 m further on your right hand side "Mountain View Lodge" turn here and feel welcome. Very important: In case you see a big sign "THALA BEACH LODGE", you been to far, please turn go back about 500 m and now Reynold Rd. is on your right

Our 3 air-conditioned bungalows are equipped with two single bed next to each other (equals a king-size bed), ensuite, little lounge, dining table, chairs, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, hot plate, television, video, all dishes and cutlery. One bungalow has got three single beds. You are welcome to use, free of charge, the barbecue (gas) in the swimming pool area, there are also sun lounges, table and chairs to your convenience. We also offer Breakfast service, which will be an additional AU$ 13.00 per person, per day, but you are welcome to do your own. We got one bungalow with three single beds. These bungalows are very close to a big (120.000 l and 2.4 m deep) Swimming pool. A third bungalow is equipped with 2 separate bedrooms and a big spa pool in an extension of the building. This bungalow got his own private BBQ area. It is very quiet and relaxing here. Lots of bird life and nature. From here it is easy to do day trips into the Rainforest, go to Cape Tribulation or circle the Atherton Tablelands. Our Lodge is about 55 km north of Cairns International Airport and 15 km south of Port Douglas. Port Douglas used to be a little fishing village and developed into a nice holiday destination.
Restaurants and Street cafes invites you to let the world go by. There is also a romantic yacht harbor where you can start tours to the Great Barrier Reef, diving, snorkeling or sailing. It is advisable to book after arrival, so you can pick a nice day. Swimming is possible all year round at 4mile Beach. Here you will find a net which protects against the box jelly fish.
