Originally built in 1906 as a carriage house, barn, stable and icehouse, The Gatehouse Country Inn Bed and Breakfast, was renovated into an elegant country home in the 50's by the famous musician and bandleader, Fred Waring. Situated in the quaint village of Shawnee on Delaware located on The Delaware River, The Gatehouse is near 27 holes of golf, 70,000 acres of national parkland with canoeing,hiking, biking and birdwatching. Each of the four bedrooms is individually decorated in antiques and features a private bathroom. A full breakfast is served in The Great Room overlooking The Courtyard and round Icehouse. The beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania is a full four season retreat.
