Vintage charm blends with "mod-cons" galore -- including on-site washer/dryer. The lavishly-equipped kitchen boasts a new stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooking essentials, dishes and (of course!) that Pacific NW essential: an espresso machine!Snooze blissfully on the double Tempur-Pedic mattress in the antique brass bed. A comfy twin vintage brass bed is in the second bedroom. You'll love the vintage living room furniture, premium cable TV, high-speed Internet access. Lexie House is right around the corner from Sellwood's terrific cafes, bakery, library, park with seasonal swimming pool and wonderfully equipped playground. An all-night QFC supermarket is nearby, as is the natural food New Seasons market.Crib, toddler bed, playpen, high chair, changing table available for the younger set. The cottage is stocked with a modest library of board games -- Monopoly, anyone? Scrabble? Candyland? Checkers? Take the bus to Portland's downtown and Eastside shopping districts. Reed College, Lewis and Clark College and Law School, Oregon Health Sciences Universities and Portland State University are all a ten-minute drive away. ALLERGY SUFFERERS: We keep our cottages free of smoke, pet hair and dander. Pillows and comforters are down-alternative. Laundry and meticulous professional cleaning is done with natural, fragrance-free products.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
