Take a few days and step back in time to our Hocking Hills Cottage. Close to nearly all of Hocking Hills attractions, The Homestead is a restored 1800's country home with modern conveniences including a hot tub. If you loved to visit Grandma's house in the country as a child, then come visit us here at The Homestead. Situated down a short lane in the midst of rolling pastures where you find you have stepped back into the past. The Hocking Hills Homestead invites you to visit our cabin and homestead. We offer cabin rentals and vacation lodging with a pet friendly environment close to Old Man's Cave - In fact, we are within a mile of Hocking Hills State Park. Hocking Hills State Park offers over 25 miles of hiking trails in the nearby Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle's Hollow, Rock House, Cantwell Cliffs and, of course, Old Man's Cave. More hiking and outdoor adventures can be found close at hand at Wayne National Forest, Zaleski State Forest and Lake Hope State Park. There are also special events like Winter Hike, Haunted Hocking and Grandma Gatewood Fall Hike all year long. For those nature lovers who also like to shop, there are antique galleries and gift shops tucked all around the Appalachian hillsides along with plenty of family restaurants and elegant dining. As you enter there is a small sitting room in this Ohio cottage for reading or for playing games. Off the living room, you will find a bedroom with a double bed. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, one with two double beds, one with a Queen bed and antique furnishings.



Home cooked meals can be easily prepared in your fully furnished equipped kitchen and enjoyed in the dining room. As you are sitting in the yard fixing your meal on the grill, let your imagination take you back in time. Long ago in Ohio farms just like The Homestead, the farmer thrashed grain by hand and plowed the field with horses and the wife was busy in the summer kitchen "puttin' up" green beans. Life on the farm has never been so quiet and peaceful. No work, no telephone, no and no worries! Private outdoor hot tub!! At The Homestead you can see the stars as you are back your own private lane where there are no city lights to block out the sky. You will be amazed at what you can see in the dark.
