Candlelight Lodge Bed and Breakfast is an 1851 brick Victorian mansion with five guest suites and two efficiencies. Next door is the Captain Storm House with four suites which can be rented individually or for a special price - the whole house. Candlelight Lodge has elegant antique furnishings, private baths, some with mini-kitchens ideal for longer term vacation rental, AC, DirecTV, coffee machines, micro, guest parlor, dining room, sun room and reception room for entertaining. A large covered patio allows you to enjoy the outdoors on summer evenings. Located in the heart of the village, guests of the inn are within easy walking distance of antique shops, stores and restaurants. Candlelight Lodge has 12’ ceilings upstairs and down, spiral walnut staircases, interior columns, inlaid floors, magnificent arched windows, ornate woodwork, cast iron appointments and seven fireplaces.
In Westfield there is Cross Roads a farm and craft market open on Saturdays and five wineries within four miles providing tours and special weekends along the Chautauqua Lake Erie Wine Trail. Candlelight Lodge is located at the very center of our wine industry - 17 wineries within 15 miles. Tour the countryside along Lake Erie and around Chautauqua Lake. Barcelona Harbor and Pier is our best kept secret - boating tours, fishing charters, or diving on Lake Erie ship wrecks are all available in the summer. Candlelight Lodge Bed and Breakfast is 5 miles from Mayville New York, Chautauqua Lake and Chautauqua Institution. Chautauqua Institution is world famous and offers many cultural programs. In nearby Fredonia is SUNY at Fredonia, and the Fredonia Opera House. The Roger Tory Peterson Institute and the Lucy - Desi Museum are found in Jamestown. Cross-country and downhill skiing at Peek’n Peak are only 30 minutes away. Please remember this is also Amish country.
