Spectacular view of Lake Otsego from a beautiful home surrounded by white birch on 22 acres complete with hiking and/or cross country skiing trails, abundant birding and wildlife, outdoor hot tub, quiet sitting room with fireplace, and scenic country roads with moderate hills for bike riding.
We have a full length porch for your pleasure and our rooms have elegant rustic lodge or country decor, 2 with private porches and one with an indoor jacuzzi and another with a 2 person soaking tub overlooking the lake.
Each night, guests receive a menu with several hot or cold choices for their breakfast along with coffee, juice and teas.
We also have Diastole Rustic Furniture and Gifts in Fly Creek and feature many of the furniture and lighting items in the B&B.

Location & area

Diastole B&B overloaks Lake Otsego 3 miles north of Cooperstown along the quieter east side of lake. The lake is 9 miles long and has an excellent fishing reputation.
In Cooperstown, the home of James Fenimore COoper is located on the southern edge of the lake, has several excellent restauants, numerous shops-many involving baseball and several fine museums in addition to the Hall of Fame.

Diastole B&B offers WIFI and ethernet access in each room. A large screen TV is located in the large common room and indiviual rooms can be arranged to have TV's with DVD, VCR's and/or satellite TV access. Each room has air conditioning and individual heat controls.

The Master Bed Room is located on the first floor, is decorated in country furnishings, has a french door opening to the view, porch and the hot tub. It has an ensuite bath room with jacuzzi tub.

The Lakeview Room is also located on the first floor and has a 4 poster bed, french doors leading to the view, porch and hot tub. It has a bathroom across the hall. It can be combined with the Rose Room, also across the hall and is ideal for families.
The Garden and Woodside Rooms are upstairs, each have their own balcony and have elegant lodge furniture and their own second floor sitting room/library. The Woodside Room has an ensuite bath room with custom glass shower and 2 person soaking tub overloaking the lake.
