Overview

Clean cozy cabins and motel rooms all done in beautiful knotty pine. Cabins have large flagstone fireplaces, full kitchen with all cooking utensils, bathroom with shower, all linens provided, cable TV and air conditioned along with a private patio area with bon fire, firewood provided. Sizes vary from a "no bedroom" with 2 beds, a 1 bedroom has 3 beds, 2 bedroom has 2 double beds and 1 twin. Children 12 and under stay free - 4 person occupancy. Add a person and add $10 per night. All have lots of room for roll away beds. Motels all have 2 double beds, refrigerator, cable TV and air conditioner.



Outstanding views of northeast Michigan as well as 7 acres of trails and 19 additional acres that the North Star has access to.



Pets are welcome.



Conveniently located close to many area activities and attractions such as the Amish Community, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, fishing, bird watching, hunting, crosscountry trails. Snowmobile from here or take a short ride to the ORV trail head.

Location & area

Located at "the top of the hill" in Mio, Michigan within walking distance to town which has diners, chinese, italian, American, boweling alley and specialty shops. Close to the grocery, bars, taverns, Keno. Within a half a mile of the AuSable River and Mio Pond. Trailheads for snomobiling, ORV'ing, motorcyles, dirtbikes, snowshoeing, and cross country skiiing are all within a half a mile. Amish community surrounding the area as well as one of the largest populations of the Kirkland Warbler. Big game, Elk and white tail deer, abound as well as small game, grouse, turkey and coyote are in abundance. Fish from Mio Pond, the AuSable River or many of the lakes at any time of the year.

Each of our "no bedroom" cabins feature a double bed in the living area and a twin bed in the kitchen area. Not to worry though, these are BIG cabins! Living area also has your cable TV with 2 premium channels and large flagstone fireplace. No worry there either, we provide all of your firewood for either the fireplace, your patio bon fire or both! Kitchen is equipped with all cooking pots, pans, utensils, eating utensils, plates, glasses, etc. All towels and linens are provided. Family friendly, pets welcome!
