The Akialoa Cottage vacation rental is a three bedroom, two bath home located across the street from the beach in Kekaha, on Kauai's West side. The cottage is air-conditioned, has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, covered parking, a large deck area around the refreshing in-ground pool and a lawn area with inviting hammocks hung between coconut palms - for your relaxing pleasure. The Akialoa Cottage vacation rental is decorated with Island-style furnishings of bamboo and teak. The floors are oak and tile; the jalousie windows allow you to open the cottage up to the tropical ocean breezes.

Kekaha is an old Hawaii sugar plantation town and the gateway to the Waimea Canyon, described by Mark Twain as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Three miles to the East of the Akialoa Beach Property and Cottage is Waimea Town, where Captain Cook first landed in September 20, 1778. Waimea Town is a bustling little town with two supermarkets (Ishihara's Market and Big Save), two banks, a credit union, a video rental store, a movie theatre and several good restaurants.
