Overview

Weaver Creek Overlook is a new cabin, built in 2008 and is also a new vacation rental. Weaver Creek Overlook is located minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, but you would never know it, because all you can see is the mountains. This is truly a log cabin with a fascinating story about how it was made. The trees were harvested from dead trees in British Columbia, and the cabin was manufactured and built up North. After the cabin was fully seasoned, it was disassembled, and transported and re-built here in Blue Ridge. The logs retain their natural shape and are expertly joined resulting in a stunning cabin, resembling something you would expect to experience somewhere out west with large logs and beams throughout.

Leaving the highway, you drive up the paved roadway to the top of the mountain. Weaver Creek Overlook has plenty of paved parking so you and your friends or family will have room for everyone. One step is all you have to climb to enter the main floor of Weaver Creek Overlook.

As you enter the cabin, you enter the living room with a beautiful stone fireplace rising up to the roof of this open room. You will probably not notice the fireplace right away because the whole back of the house is windows looking down at the valley below and another ridgeline of mountains extending as far as the eye can see. At the far end of the main room, are the dining area, a breakfast bar, and the upscale kitchen. Wherever you are in this great room, you can be part of the activities and fun. Walk through the double doors on to the deck which wraps around two sides of the house, the entire view unfolds all around you. Turn left beyond the living room, and you will find the Master Bedroom, Master Bath, and Laundry Room with a half-bath. The Master Bath has a stunning double sink and vanity, a Jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower.

Exploring upstairs, you can look out the windows and doors to discover that the view is entirely different than what you saw below. All three levels of decks present a different perspective on the unfolding mountain range and valley. You can look over the railings crafted from log beams and Rhododendron pickets down into the living area of the main floor. There are two bedrooms up here, and the full bath is just as nice as the master bathroom below.

Downstairs, you will discover another great room with two gathering areas and a big screen TV. There are two bedrooms and a full bath on this level as well.

This cabin rental is perfect for a large family or a 2-family vacation, an extended weekend retreat, or an intimate weekend for just the two of you.
