Overview

We would all like a quiet corner of the world in which to escape the troubles of daily life and really feel like we are getting away from it all. Well, this property fits the bill perfectly. Situated near to the commercial center of Holmes Beach with the flagship Publix supermarket and various other interesting stores but hidden by established flowering hibiscus, jasmine, bougainvillea and native palms this villa hides some impressive features. Out the back is a lovely landscaped pool overlooked by swaying palms and the first-floor balcony. Inside the oak staircase leads to a light and airy living space with three bedrooms with separate bathroom leading off it. With three comfortable sofas, a large screen TV with cable, DVD and high-speed internet access you will find it hard not to relax, especially if you open to large glass doors out on to the Saltillo tiled balcony to watch the sun go down. With a well-stocked kitchen, separate laundry room and light oak furniture you will want for nothing as you go about the important business of putting your feet up.

Location & area

All along the island you will find bike paths, marinas, water sports, sailboats, tennis courts and broad sweeping expanses of peaceful uncrowded beaches overlooking the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Quaint turn-of-the-century fishing piers are a great place to drop a fishing line, walk off a sumptuous meal or pass the time of day with the locals. Our protected beaches are home to loggerhead turtles, pelicans and herons and it is common to see dolphins playing in the waters of the Gulf.

Dining on the island is a culinary adventure with everything from casual beach cafes for breakfast or lunch, to fine restaurants with an international reputation. There are plenty of small shops and boutiques to browse around for gifts, craft items, silver and distinctive casual clothes. Just over on the mainland is the vibrant city of Bradenton and with Tampa and Orlando just a drive away, you can easily spend a day at Disney or Busch Gardens.
