Overview
When it's time for a break from the ordinary, come visit us "on the Edge of Wilderness" where mother nature is right outside your backdoor!
The Swiftcurrent Lodge is "hidden" on the old road into Rocky Mountain National Park with the Big Thompson River flowing right through our backyard.
Our atmosphere invites opportunities for relaxation, reflection and rejuvenation. Dare to dream, sit by the river, read a book, watch wildlife, enjoy the view. Hiking, waking, fishing, birding, picnics, scenic drives...and then, let your cares fade away in our riverside hot tub.
Any time of year is a great time to visit the Swiftcurrent Lodge. We are a small facility with 8 of our 12 units facing the river. We are 3.5 miles from downtown Estes, 300 yards from Rocky Mountain National Park. Close enough to town to enjoy the diverse activities our community has to offer yet far enough away to be secluded from town. We are a family owned and operated business. We take pride in our exceptionally clean accommodations and our sincere desire to make your stay as pleasant and memorable as possible.
Thank you for considering the Swiftcurrent Lodge for your "home away from home" while staying in the Estes Park / Rocky Mountain National Park area.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
