It's just a 15-to-20 minute drive to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Mount Rose, Paige Meadows and more. Just a short walk down the street brings you to endless acres of forested backcountry for hiking, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. The North Shore's finest and most popular restaurants, shops and outdoor destinations are all right here. Woodsy is situated in a friendly neighborhood on a nice sunny lot. In the winter there is a snowplow service provided when possible. Children are always welcome. There are toys and games that make this home a very child friendly vacation rental for them too.

The Woodsy Bear is centrally located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Access to all the ski areas, lake, beaches and shopping is within minutes. Lake Tahoe beaches are a few minutes away for a refreshing swim, boating, kayaking, or picnicking. Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is the closest ski resort (5 minutes away) for skiing, mountain biking and golf. This vacation home is central to the other 4 major resorts on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, all about 15 to 20 minutes away: Mount Rose Ski Area, Diamond Peak Ski Area, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley. Tahoe National Forest is out the back door for mountain biking, hiking, cross county skiing, and snow shoeing.
