Our exceptionally quiet home is located on 3 forested acres, inside two million acres of National Forest, near Lake Ouachita. ItÂ’s clean, spacious, and well-equipped... a perfect escape for rest, relaxation, and renewal.A pristine stream borders the property and is just right for wading or listening from the shaded hammock or the front porch swing. Organic flower, fruit and vegetable gardens provide our guests with refreshment and beauty 7 months of the year!Our simple one-level home includes an open floor plan with a spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two baths.Each room has unique, colorful hand-painted walls; some are murals and some are free-flowing swirls, and a ceiling fan, plus there's AC in the living room and master bedroom.

Pick fruit, vegetables and flowers from our organic gardens (in season). Our on-site gardener (Cindy) can assist you and answer your questions.
Explore the many wonders of nature on one of the cleanest lakes in the country (according to the EPA). Lake Ouachita has over 1000 miles of shoreline and over 200 islands where you can camp or play on your own private beach. The lake is a swimmer or scuba diver's heaven with crystal clear water, rare jellyfish (non-stinging) and sponges that are found in very few of the cleanest freshwater lakes, plus world class striped bass abound here as do most types of freshwater fish.
Three recreational marinas are within a 10 minute drive of your vacation home, and include our favorite areas for hiking, picnicking, swimming, fishing, and horseback riding, boat slips, pontoon houseboat, and jet ski rentals. Mountain Harbor Resort also has a full service spa and a quiet restaurant that overlooks the lake.
Hiking in the Ouachita National Forest can range from a meditative walk to an exhilarating adventure, complete with fresh wild blackberries in season. See for more information about the Forest, including nearby trails.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
