Overview

Lovely moorish-style hacienda with charming open patios and incredible views of the Sierra Madre Mountains all around. Breakfast is included in our excellent restaurant, serving regional Zapotec dishes, as well as great coffee and some American goodies.
Owned by Master Weaver, Demetrio Bautista Lazo, you will be surrounded by the beauty of his rugs and will be able to watch the dying of wool with plants and bugs and the weaving on the huge looms. Classes are available. Tours to neighboring villages and ruins, as well as to Oaxaca City may be arranged here. Very tranquil Zapotec Village with 16th Century Cathedral and ancient ruins. Why deal with the traffic and hustle and bustle of the big city? Come and enjoy a relaxing stay with us in this beautiful, quaint village. Rooms are clean and bright and bathtubs are available.

Teotitlan del Valle is located approx. 22 miles from Oaxaca City off the Panamerican Highway. We are located near the larger village of Tlacolula (colorful Sunday market)and the ruins of Mitla, Yagul, Lambityeco, Dainzu, and Hierve el Agua.



La Cupula is located approx. 2 mi. from the center of Teotitlan del Valle and the 16th century cathedral, restaurants, markets, a small lake with wildlife and mountain trails. Clean air, slow tranquil days, excellent food and beautiful views are the benchmarks of this charming B&B.

We make the only cappuccino you can buy in this village. Great breakfasts from regional dishes (enchiladas, huevos a la mexicana) to fritatta and waffles. Comida corrida is also available from 1 - 4 pm daily featuring different regional dishes daily. Alcoholic beverages are served here as well. We will be happy to accommodate your special dietary concerns or prepare a special meal for your family or group upon request.
