Overview
Casa Preciosa (Precious Home)... Ajijic Village Vacation Rental Charmer. Amenity Rich. Private, Yet Secure. Unwind and relax in your own private paradise.
Fully appointed 2 Bedrooms and 2 Baths - (Sleeps up to 4 people)
Whether you are visiting 'The Land of Eternal Spring' to get-away from frigid winters or sweltering summers, or thinking about retirement in Lake Chapala, Casa Preciosa offers you the wonderful and authentic experience of living in Mexico. Ranked as some of the world's best weather, anytime is a good time to visit Lake Chapala.
Casa Preciosa, a cozy village home with construction details of a bygone era. Featuring rustic hand-hewn wooden beams with impressive soaring wooden Michoacan ceilings (a rare treat in this part of Mexico) and boveda brick ceilings. Vintage arched windows and doors lead to a flower laden private patio.
This charming, two story casa, with open floor plan has just been newly renovated. Beautiful bright colors with Mexican touches throughout the home, courtyard and garden. Wake up to sunny, blue skies, with beautiful views of Lake Chapala from the upstairs master bedroom. Or, gaze at the incredible mountain views from the study. Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon margarita... in the spacious and well lit dining room with garden terrace view or unwind under the umbrella on the courtyard. Relax in the comfortable and cozy living room while watching TV, or reading your favorite book.
Dazzle your taste buds with the fresh fruit and veggies bought directly from the farmer at the Wednesday market. Cook them and all the other delightful goodies in the fully-equipped kitchen accented with hand-painted Mexican talavera tile. Or, barbecue a thick steak or fresh fish on the outdoor gas grill in the courtyard.
Located in the heart of the village of Ajijic. This lovely Ajijic rental home is located on a Privada (a private street) with only seven other homes on it, in one of the most desirable areas in the village of Ajijic. Just half a block from the lake and three and a half blocks to Ajijic's main plaza. Over two dozen great shops, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants within three blocks.
Walking distance to everything! Stroll the narrow cobblestone streets day or night. We personally live in this area and feel safer here than in most cities in the United States.
Very light and bright. If you would love to experience a home with real Mexican character and history, then this may be the Lake Chapala rental home for you. Reserve early to enjoy this popular Mexican retreat.
Hasta Pronto! (see you soon!)

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
