Overview

Highlands Motel is located on highway #35 just north of the town of Minden central to Haliburton County. Highlands Motel offers reasonable rates and comfortable clean motel accommodations. We have overnight and long term Cottage rates and if you are looking for a base location for the many Haliburton attractions and adventures we may be exactly what your looking for. Our accommodation are just a few minutes walk from the beach on Twelve Mile Lake and we have several full service restaurants nearby. On site we have a common meeting hall - perfect for group events, family reunions, or a great place to sit and relax with a book in front of the fireplace. This comfortable recreation facility is just a few steps from the motel units and features full kitchen facilities. Highlands Motel also offers accommodation packages so you can turn your visit to Haliburton into a full vacation experience. We have hiking, cross country ski, snowmobiling and atv enthusiasts that call Highlands Motel their home when touring Haliburton trail systems. Haliburton Highlands has many interesting attractions including Haliburton Forest famous for it's Wolf Centre and Walk In The Clouds forest canopy tour. We are just a few minutes drive from the Leslie Frost outdoors centre and the Minden Wildwater Reserve. The town of Dorset is just to our north - with it's famous Robinson's General Store voted Canada's best general store. If your in the area, take in the view from the Dorset Fire Tower attraction. If you are thinking about visiting Algonquin Park consider staying with us as the drive is short and your accommodation savings will be well worth your while. Every fall Haliburton offers two weekends of the Haliburton Studio Tour where visitors get a chance to go into the artists studio and see their work in production. It also is a great time to take in the Haliburton Fall colours. What ever your reason's for visiting the Highlands you will find our Haliburton accommodations comfortable and in a relaxed setting, surrounded by tree's with a view of a small pond.
