Nova Scotia Oceanfront Cottage Rentals
Six two-bedroom winterized cottages located just fifty feet from the mile long white sands of Crescent Beach in Lockeport, Shelburne County, NS. Tastefully decorated and fully equipped and capable of handling a family of six. Full kitchen and four piece bath, pine furnishings and cathedral ceilings. All cottages are equipped with Cable TV, DVD, VCR and most have access to wireless internet. Electric heat throughout as well as propane fireplaces for those cool Atlantic evenings. All linens and towels provided.
The cottages are located in Lockeport, a small marine community of less than 700 people. All amenities are within a five minute walk including restaurants, country store, the bank and pharmacy. Peaceful, unspoiled surroundings. Spend time exploring and beachcombing the rocky Atlantic coastline or one of the 20 beaches within a fifteen minute drive. Visit the local museums and the Icelandic Cairn which tell some of the history of the community and area. Your children will spend hours at the playground in the centre of town while you read a book at a leisurely pace while basking in the sun on your veranda. Visit the Locke Family Heritage Streetscape....the first of its kind in Nova Scotia and witness the architectural history. Take the walking tour of the town and see much more. Spend time at the wharves watching the fishermen in action or listen to their stories of dangerous times at sea. You won't want to leave.
All the comforts of home but without the distractions. Come "lose yourself" in this quaint fishing village where time stands still and everything is authentic Nova Scotian. Sit by your campfire at night as you gaze at the meteor showers & milky way. Bring your binoculars and telescope for the best birdwatching and star gazing available. Other experiences & tours are available nearby. Lockeport is a great midpoint to be used to explore the entire Lighthouse Route from Peggy's cove to Yarmouth.
