If you are dreaming of a magical place where Mother Nature wraps her gentle arms around you and washes away your worries, then our home on Protection Island is the place for you.
Welcome to 76 Pirates Lane. Where the rural country setting feels miles away from the city but the convenience of downtown Nanaimo on Vancouver Island is only a 10-minute cruise across the water on the hourly passenger ferry.
Close to some of the best cities in British Columbia, from our home you can explore Vancouver Island taking in places like Victoria or Long Beach in Tofino, or choose to visit beautiful Vancouver only a scenic 80 minute ferry ride away.
Our post and beam home with vaulted cedar ceilings and windows to match boasts a breathtaking view of more than 40 miles across the Georgia Strait to British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. Set on 90 feet of oceanfront, visitors can enjoy the view from our spacious sundeck or take our 10-step stairway to the beach to explore the tide pools.
With 2 bedrooms plus a loft and 1 bathroom, our home sleeps 5.
Enjoy a romantic getaway and wake up to the gorgeous view that the loft provides or bring your friends or family and enjoy a comfortable stay.
Our home is complete with many of the conveniences of home: city water and sewer, as well as a dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, barbeque and tv/vcr.
Linens, towels, dishes, and cutlery as well as many other comforts are provided. Bring what you would like to eat, a bathing suit, and beach shoes and enjoy your stay!

Explore the island parks, beach comb or venture to Newcastle Island Marine Park.
Only 300 feet off our shore, visitors can walk across to Newcastle Island during low tide or take the passenger ferry and experience the historical sites and miles of trails that our neighboring island has to offer.
