Overview
Tigh Eachainn is a large, comfortable, centrally-heated house with wonderful views to Broadford Bay and the islands of Scalpay, Pabay and Raasay.
The living-room has Sky+ wide-screen TV and wood-burning stove.
The dining-room has a large picture window looking out to the twinkling lights of Broadford Bay and the mountain of Beinn na Cailleach rises in front of the deck at the side of the house. You can just see the cairn which covers the burial chamber of a norse princess.
Accommodation includes 1 Family Room, 2 Double Rooms, 3 singles and a double sofa-bed in the living-room.
There is a large garden with 2 story Wendy house and child's swing and chute.
The sweeping golden sands of Ashaig beach are only 10 minutes walk away. It is here that St. Maelrubha (a disciple of Columba) landed when he brought Christianity to Skye.
Tigh Eachainn is on a croft tenanted by the same family for 150 years. With artists and musicians in the family, the walls throughout are hung with original artwork.
In the hallway you will find the framed sheet music for "Tigh Eachainn" written by a visiting flautist, and a folder of information on all the family's favourite places to visit on Skye including some great music sessions which you won't find advertised elsewhere.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
