Overview

Alexander Cottage is a beautiful Gardenstown holiday cottage found in Aberdeenshire (formerly Banffshire) in the North East of Scotland. Situated within a stones throw of the sea Alexander Cottage is the ideal seaside retreat. The cottage was built as a Scottish fisherman's cottage in the 19th century and the cottage still retains much of it's original charm. The cottage would have originally housed a large family who made their living from the sea. Today the cottage can comfortably accommodate up to six people for a relaxing seaside holiday away from the pressures of modern life.

The cottage boasts 3 bedrooms: a kingsize double, a twin with additional single futon and a single bedroom. There are side-on sea views from all of the bedrooms. There is also a double bed settee in the lounge. The cottage is well equipped with a washing machine, oven, microwave, toaster, new plasma television, video and dvd. There is also a good supply of books, videos, dvds and board games.

A particular feature of the cottage is the pretty back garden with breathtaking views over the bay.

Fresh bed linen and towels is supplied along with wood and coal for the fire, otherwise the cottage is self catering. The cottage is pet friendly.

Alexander Cottage is available to rent on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Out of season short breaks may be available.

The North East Scotland coast is a mixture of rugged rocks and sandy beaches. The Gardenstown beach or Gamrie beach as it is known has both features. So whether it is rock pool hunting, building sand castles or simply strolling along the beach, Gardenstown has it all.
