Overview

Seaside Croft is a lovely crofters cottage which has been modernised to make a comfortable home. The kitchen is large and well equipped, it has views to three sides and it's great to sit round the table watching the birds or the light changing on the loch. The lounge is cosy, there is a peat burning stove (or electric at the click of a switch!) and lots of books, games, dvd's and videos for winter evenings or wet days. There is a double room and two twins, sleeping 6. We look after our house and and try to make sure there is everything you will need. The croft is 5 acres with garden around the house, vegetable garden and polytunnel, a grassy field on the seashore (great for games, kite flying, pottering at the waters edge, bird watching, launching a kayak--)Plenty of space for children to play and for well behaved dogs too. We have been busy planting trees and hedges - all very young! and we get an abundance of wild flowers and insects.Inverasdale is a quiet crofting village 4 miles from Poolewe which has a little shop, places to eat, a swimming pool, and the famous Inverewe Gardens. Nearby Gairloch has a golf course and sea trips to watch dolhpins and other wildlife or go fishing. The area has lots of amazing sandy beaches, coastal and woodland walks or cycle rides and the mountains - An Teallach, Slioch, Beinn Eighe and Torridon. Ullapool, Applecross, Skye are all within easy reach so we are a great base whether you wish to be active or idle!
