Opposite the apartment there is Brunstane burn with cycle path which leads to Newhailes House (National Trust for Scotland) and central Edinburgh the other way (bikes can be made available). A good train and bus service is in operation and a 44n bus operates throughout the night. A supermarket is within walking distance of the apartment.
