Overview

En suite facilities in all rooms except one single room which has a private bathroom. Each bedroom offers a hint of Scotland : Highland and Bluebell rooms - single; Thistle, Castle, Forget-me-not and Balmoral rooms offer double or twin accommodation: Heather and Burns rooms offer triple/ quad or family accommodation. Castle View is family run by Derek and Coranne and you are assured of a warm welcome. The dining room and some bedrooms offer views of Edinburgh Castle, and all popular attractions are within walking distance. Princes Street is less than 80 metres away - literally a minute walk so we are an ideal location for a city break / shopping trip / business or leisure trip. We are a haven above the bustle of the city as Castle Street is a "no-through" road for vehicles and so is a quiet location for such a prime central location. Please note Castle View is a Penthouse Apartment on the 3rd and 4th floors of an EDinburgh Townhouse - there is no lift, so if stairs are a problem, we would not be suitable. There are a wide selection of restuarants within 2 minutes walk offering quality fare. We are non smoking throughout. A 2 night minimum stay MAY apply. Guests at Castle View may access the nearby Vitality Health and Leisure club at the Roxburghe Hotel. Please note our cancellation policy applies if you cancel a confirmed reservation. The DEPOSIT FOR ONE NIGHT STAY APPLIES IF YOU CANCEL your reservation or any part thereof following confirmation with credit card details. If cancellation is within 7 days, then the WHOLE reservation MAY be chargeable if we do not rebook the room for all nights originally reserved.

In the centre of Edinburgh. Castle Street is perpendicular to Princes Street towards the West end. If travelling by car, Castle Street must be approached from George Street ( Parallel to Princes Street), or North CAstle Street, as Castle Street is a " no through road" from Princes Street. We are 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station. Come up to Princes Street from the station; turn left; walk towards Edinburgh Castle and Castle Street faces the Castle. From the airport, take a taxi - 12-15.00 pounds or the airport bus - 5.00 pounds return, to the city centre.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
