Overview
No matter how long your stay, a warm welcome awaits you at Ballymullan House. Hosts Jack Templeton and David McMaster invite you to sample the best in local hospitality with comfortable en-suite accommodation and sumptuous breakfasts.
The House is located on the outskirts of the picturesque and historic village of Crawfordsburn, on the edge of Crawfordsburn Country Park, consequently there are a variety of countryside, forest and seaside walks, directly from the house from which to choose.
Other attractions close by include, The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, championship Golf courses at Bangor, Clandeboye and Royal Belfast and the Marina at Bangor, all within a short drive or bus trip.
For an excellent lunch or an evening meal, the historic Old Inn is a 8 min stroll away, whilst the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel is within a 10 min drive.
Walking & Cycling
For the more energetic, the nearby Ulster Way gives access to a walking and cycling network that runs throughout Northern Ireland. The less energetic can take a stroll to the beach at Helen's Bay. A longer walk to Holywood along the costal path with lunch at the Dirty Duck and return train to Helen's Bay, makes a nice days outing. Those preferring not to walk can take a bus from outside the entrance gates to the house going either to Bangor or in the other direction to Belfast via Holywood.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
