This Edwardian property, originally built as a gentleman's residence around 1904, is now a small family run York Bed and Breakfast,band,b&b,guest house.

Standing in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking a bowling green, we are only 5 minutes walk, through the Museum Gardens, to the famous Minster and the City Centre.

The guest house is only 10 minutes walk or a short taxi ride from York railway station with its excellent rail links to the rest of England.

Guests can enjoy comfortable accommodation, wholesome food, service with a warmth and friendliness that will ensure you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We try to provide good value for money and an informal atmosphere in which you can truly relax.

Location & area

On Foot

From the railway station:

- Turn left out of the station towards the Minster.

- Cross the river via Landal Bridge.

- At the first set of traffic lights, turn left on to Exhibition Square. Take the next left at the lights, to Bootham.

- Take the 3rd left turn in to Bootham Terrace (just before you reach the Churchill Hotel).

- Continue until the road opens out, look right, and there we stand (10 minutes’ walk).



By Car

From the South , via the A64:

- Travel east on the A64.

- Take the A1237 and continue for 5 miles, following signs to Thirsk (A19).

- At the roundabout that intersects the A19, turn right (York), continue for 2 miles.

- Look out for a large hotel on your left: The Churchill.

- Take the first right after the hotel: Bootham Terrace. Continue until the road opens out, look right, and there we stand.



From Hull (the East):

- After reaching York on the 1079, turn left down the A64 section of the ring road.

- Then, take the A1237 until the A19 intersection.

- Turn left for York, and continue for 2 miles.

- Look out for a large hotel on your left: The Churchill.

- Follow as above.
