Attractive holiday cottage set in quiet North Devon village of West Down. The very comfortable accommodation has 3-bedrooms, sleeping up to 5. The separate Living Room and Dining Room are full of character with oak beams and inglenooks. The cottage is well-equipped with Freeview TV, dvd player, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave etc. The cottage has private parking and a garden to relax in. The local village shop caters for day to day shopping, supplying local organic produce,the new Village Tea Rooms serves delicious Devon cream teas and the local pub serves Real Ale and good family meals, making Rock Cottage an ideal place for a relaxing holiday.

Location & area

West Down village is 4 miles from the coast at Woolacombe or the harbour town of Ilfracombe. The main centre of Barnstaple is about 10 miles distant. The village is an ideal centre for visiting Exmoor National Park and the romantic Lorna Doone country. There are many pretty villages to visit, including Lynton & Lynmouth, or Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets and picturesque harbour. The Tarka Trail is nearby, which runs along the old railway line between Ilfracombe and Barnstaple or Bideford. For garden lovers there are many beautiful North Devon gardens to explore, including the wonderful RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Great Torrington.
